Frameless Staircase Railing
A frameless toughened glass railing installed on a residential staircase. 12 mm toughened panels, measured tread by tread, fixed with stainless standoff pins and polished edges. The stair keeps its light and the hall keeps its view. Measured, processed and installed by Glass Gallery India, Pathankot.
How a frameless staircase railing is built
- Each panel is measured on site, because no two stair treads are exactly the same
- Panels are cut to the raked shape of the stair and every hole is drilled before toughening
- 12 mm toughened glass is the usual choice, laminated where the drop is high
- Stainless standoff pins or a base channel hold the glass, with a slim handrail on top
Where this railing works best
Homes where the staircase sits in the living or dining area and should not block the light. It also suits duplex flats and villas with double height halls. See all glass railing options.
