Bevelling grinds and polishes an angled edge around a glass or mirror panel, giving it a bright jewelled rim. Glass Gallery India bevels mirrors and panels in Pathankot on its own machines.

01

Where is bevelling used?

  • Wall mirrors and dressing mirrors that need a finished look without a frame
  • Mirror walls in salons and gyms, panel by panel
  • Glass table tops where the edge is seen and touched
  • Traditional door glass combined with etching and V grooving
02

Why do bevelled mirrors look premium?

The angled edge works like a prism. It catches light at the rim and frames the reflection, which is why bevelled mirrors read as furniture rather than hardware. Width of the bevel is chosen to suit the panel size.

03

Bevelled mirror designs and where they work

A bevelled mirror has its edges ground and polished at an angle, usually 10 to 25 mm wide, so the edge sparkles and the mirror looks finished without a frame. It is the most requested finish for bathroom mirrors, dressing mirrors and mirror walls in living rooms.

  • Bathroom and wash basin mirrors
  • Dressing table and wardrobe mirrors
  • Mirror walls made of bevelled tiles
  • Glass table tops with a bevelled edge

Common questions

Bevelling: questions people ask us

Is a bevelled edge safe?

Yes. Bevelling ends in polishing, so the edge is smooth to the touch. For doors and partitions we combine bevelling with toughened glass in the correct order.

What bevel widths can you make?

Common bevel widths run from about 10mm to 40mm along the glass edge. Wider bevels give a bolder prism effect on mirrors and table tops; our team will show you samples so you can pick the width in person.

Is bevelled glass safe for table tops?

Yes, when made in toughened glass of suitable thickness, usually 10mm or 12mm for dining tables. The bevelled edge is polished smooth, so there are no sharp corners.

Bevelled mirror or plain edge mirror: which is better?

A bevelled mirror looks richer and needs no frame. A plain polished edge is cheaper and suits modern, minimal rooms. Both are safe when the edges are polished.
