Glass processing means everything done to a sheet before it is installed: cutting, edge polishing, bevelling, drilling and toughening preparation. Glass Gallery India does all of it in house in Pathankot, which is why sizes come out right and deadlines hold.

01

What processing do we do in house?

  • Accurate cutting from fresh sheet, straight and template based
  • Edge finishing: seamed, smooth ground, polished or bevelled
  • Holes, notches and cutouts for hardware, sockets and locks
  • Toughening preparation, because tempered glass cannot be cut later
  • Frosting, etching and surface work on our own benches
02

Why does edgework decide the job?

Good glasswork is decided at the edge. A polished edge is safe to touch, fits hardware cleanly and resists chipping. A rough edge fails on all three. Fabricators across Pathankot, Gurdaspur and Kathua buy processed sheet from us precisely for the edge quality.

03

Glass cutting near me: can I walk in with a small job?

Yes. Bring the size or the broken piece to our Dalhousie Road counter and we cut, grind and polish glass to size while you wait for small jobs, or by the next working day for larger ones. Fabricators and furniture makers send regular orders for cut to size glass with polished edges, holes and cutouts.

04

Which edge finish should you ask for?

  • Flat polish: clean, straight and modern, for shelves, tables and doors
  • Pencil round: a soft rounded edge, safest for table tops and exposed shelves
  • Bevel: an angled polished edge that catches light, popular on mirrors
  • Half round: a fuller curve for decorative pieces

Common questions

Glass Processing: questions people ask us

Can you process glass for my own project?

Yes. Supply only customers get cut to size, edge finished panels ready for their own fitters, with proper padding for transport.

What measurements do you need for a glass processing job?

Width and height in millimetres or inches, the glass thickness, and the positions of any holes or cutouts. A hand sketch on paper photographed on WhatsApp is enough; for complex shapes we visit the site and make a template.

Do you take small one-piece processing orders?

Yes. A single shelf, table top or replacement pane is a normal order for us. There is no minimum quantity, and small pieces are often ready the same day or the next day.

Do you cut glass to size in Pathankot?

Yes. We cut float glass, mirrors and toughened glass blanks to size at the Dalhousie Road shop, with the edge finish you choose.
